terms
effective august 14, 2026 · seventeen, los angeles
the short version: be honest, be kind, be 16+. the longer version:
who can use seventeen
- you're 16 or older, and you really go to the school you join
- one account, your real name to the room (anonymity where the app offers it, never impersonation)
the rules of the room
- no threats, harassment, or targeting a person — naming someone in an anonymous post closes your account
- no sexual content involving minors — reported to authorities, zero exceptions
- no posting photos of people without their ok (they can report and it auto-blocks you)
- no spam, no selling, no impersonation
your content
- what you write stays yours; you give seventeen the license needed to show it to your room
- letters belong to their recipients once delivered
- we can remove content that breaks these rules and close repeat offenders — moderation decisions are ours to make within the hour for threats and danger
the economy
- the daily seventeen and everything it buys are features, not money — no cash value, no refunds of gestures
ending things
- delete your account any time from your page; see the privacy page for what happens to data
- we can suspend accounts that break these rules; letters already delivered stay with their recipients
the boring-but-true part
seventeen is provided as-is while in beta. these terms are governed by california law. if a court knocks one line out, the rest stand. questions: orionjones99@gmail.com.
